Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind
Amid the cosmopolitan surroundings of Hollywood Boulevard sits the curious home of Sid Cahuenga who, stubbornly stayed put in his beautiful Craftsman-style California Bungalow as the city grew around it. These midwestern transplants now make a living selling rare Tinseltown Treasures in their living room and front porch while Sid keeps patrons entertained with a wide assortment of radio programs.
This most unusual of the park's atmospheres was also the most personal. Created by Disney•MGM Studios music curator Russell Brower as a tribute to his father who instilled in him a love of radio dramas. It features themes from some of the most famous programs in the pre-television era with several Disney "easter eggs" sprinkled throughout its length interspersed with songs created for "Laurel & Hardy".
"It’s truly my favorite loop from the Studios project." — Russell Brower
Part of the Studios Soundtrack Series created to preserve the original atmospheres of the park by presenting restorations of its underscores.
