To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland, a global celebration was held and all theme park destinations unified their marketing strategies under the same banner. Many preexisting expansions were rolled into the celebration with Walt Disney World, ironically, receiving most of the attention during Disneyland’s Golden year.

Billed as a “gift” from Disney’s California Adventure, Soarin’ over California flew into The Land pavilion and was rebranded simply as Soarin’. The 1930’s airfield hangar motif of DCA, gave way to a more Epcot appropriate international airport aesthetic.
