In 2007, something bordering on miraculous occurred. Walt Disney World’s second gate (perpetually in its old sister’s shadow) was on the verge of celebrating a significant milestone with seemingly little planned to mark the occasion while simultaneously, the EPCOT Center generation was just beginning to emerge as cultural and economic force of untapped potential. The park’s original iconography and name had begun to surface on a small selection of merchandise (an unprecedented event in brand integrity) and yet for most of the year not a single word was uttered about an official observance.
However, a few short months before the October 1st Anniversary (and on the heels of several unofficial gatherings) Disney did make it official and “Epcot 25” was to be celebrated in a single glorious day of  re-dedication, special merchandise, a gallery of artifacts, presentations with Marty Sklar and a special finale to IllumiNations.

As part of the festivities, Future World Central featured a one-day-only “Atmosphere” of the park’s Greatest Hits from opening to present day — from Kitchen Kabaret to Surprise in the Skies and (almost) everything in between
